Creating a Podcast Studio to Promote Our Product

I had a long-held dream of creating my own podcast studio and a space for interviews and other creative video products. While searching for locations to set up autonomous beauty studios, I stumbled upon an amazing space. It was located in the center, with its own separate entrance, soundproof, and had no windows—ideal for barber studios, but absolutely unsuitable for them.
However, I thought it would be perfect for a podcast studio. The space was just under 100 square meters, with its own bathroom, located in an old building with thick walls and no noisy neighbors—ideal silence for podcasts.

I decided to pursue my dream and rented the space to open a podcast and interview studio. This happened at the end of 2021, right before the New Year. From December to January, we worked hard on the renovation, purchasing necessary equipment, furniture, and much more. We set up a fully functional workstation, just like the ones in autonomous beauty studios for barbers. We bought video lighting, green, black, and white backdrops, and an electric backdrop system to avoid manual adjustments. We also acquired furniture specifically designed for podcasts and interviews. Check out the photos to see how it all looked.

By the end of January, we had completed the renovation and started recording our own podcasts. But the most routine part of this process was editing those podcasts. I was always looking for ways to automate it and studied everything I could find to make it similar to big TV studios, where content is already prepared and ready to go—but at a budget-friendly cost. I researched Blackmagic products, as we already had cameras from that brand, and found the perfect solution: the ATEM Mini Pro, which helps create ready-to-go content with camera switching during the recording, as well as the ability to stream live in high quality. The operator on the control panel switches cameras to whoever is speaking. We had three cameras: one for the interviewer, one for the interviewee, and one for the wide shot. The microphones were also professional-grade, from the Shure brand, just like the ones Joe Rogan uses for his podcasts. We had professional mic holders as well.

Of course, this is just a brief summary of everything that went into creating the studio. There were many issues that had to be solved on the fly! But by February 2022, my dream studio was ready. We started recording podcasts, and everything seemed great. However, everything changed on February 23rd.

I thought that February 24th was a dream, as I couldn’t believe what was happening. The decision was clear: sell all assets, and everything we had worked for needed to be abandoned. Soon after, buyers for the studio were found, and the studio, along with its equipment, was sold to a new owner. And so, my journey began—a journey of migration and entering the global market!
