The Struggles of Branding: How Many Times the Name Changed

How I Searched for a Brand Name
We all know that the name of a brand and an app is crucial. In this article, I’ll share how many times the name of our app has changed. When I first started the project, the idea was to automate beauty coworking spaces, and I hadn’t yet envisioned expanding the project further. So, I came up with a simple and concise name—Barber Click.

I liked it, and I decided to name my project that way, as barbering was rapidly growing, and the name also worked well for SEO optimization. The website quickly started ranking high in search results for terms like "Rent a space for a barber" and other related queries. Clients began coming in actively from search engine results, and the business started to grow well.

As the project developed, the need for just a booking platform for beauty spaces became insufficient. To capture a larger portion of the market, I began considering rebranding. Simply focusing on barbers was no longer enough; we needed spaces for rent in general. So, we temporarily rebranded the project to bc24.one.
However, this name didn’t last long either. I struggled with how to name the project with something recognizable, while also ensuring that the name wasn’t already in use by existing brands. The name had to be short, simple, unique, and in one word, ideally composed only of letters.

I often heard terms like "sharing business," "sharing," and other similar words from others. So, I started thinking about including "Share" in the name. I added the verb prefix to be to it, and came up with beshare. I checked the name in brand and company name directories—and found nothing! It was decided—the name was perfect. I then checked domain availability, and found that all domains with that name were available, except for the .com domain, which was owned by domain resellers. I’ll share later how much that domain cost to purchase.
