Renting a training space: what to look for by session type
The right studio depends entirely on what you coach. Before you book, match the space and kit to your session type rather than the hourly rate.
One-to-one PT
You need enough kit for a full session — a rig, free weights, a bench and a bit of open floor — but not much space. A smaller, well-equipped room is often better value than a big empty hall.
Small group
Now floor area and duplicate kit matter: enough weights, mats or stations for everyone to move without waiting. Check the comfortable capacity for your format, not just the max.
Classes and mobility
Open matted floor, mirrors, a sound system and good airflow beat heavy machines. Confirm what's fixed versus what you set up, and how long you get before and after to reset the room.
