I have bought several of these over the years because unfortunately after a lot of use, it starts to lose tines and stops being effective. The tips of this are SHARP. It's probably as close to the Audrey Hepburn technique of using a pin to separate lashes. As long as you're careful, they're never dangerous. Since using these, I've not had a single day with clumpy mascara. Just make sure you clean off the residue as best you can while it's still wet rather than have to rub more and make it fall apart!
