Prior to this product, I struggled with bad texture, and hormonal skin breakouts. As I had sensitive skin, other retinols I tried (including products from Skinceuticals)- did not work for me. I tried this product per my esthetician’s recommendation, and the results were transformative. I definitely went through a bit of a purge cycle, and also experienced red/peely skin for a short period. However, another product from Sente - the Dermal Repair Cream definitely helped mitigate the irritation. After the adjustment period, my skin is now like glass and my acne/texture issues are so much improved that I don’t wear foundation anymore. I use this product regularly now, and I have found it layers nicely over oils like the Herbivore Emerald oil when your skin is a little too sensitive for its full power. This is product is a great beginner retinol. While it is expensive, it is definitely worth the price!
