This was the first dandruff shampoo that actually sucked up the oil without drying my scalp afterwards and then eventually having flakes again. After the first wash I immediately felt the difference and after 4 consecutive washes (and then 2 without using this) I haven't had any flakes and my scalp is less oily and itchy. You do have to apply it twice which I wish wasn't so because time is sparse as it is but I followed directions and my scalp feels great so it's worth it!
