As you can see, the nail isn't long enough to have the tip in it's "cold" phase, which is a pink-ish red. You need really long nails for a chance to have both colors casually appear on your nails (or at least in the summer). The polish is kinda grainy, but not too noticable after 2-3 coats and a top coat. I've topped it in my swatches with Fantasia, which came out in the same collection as these thermals!
