Total failure

This pencil did not whiten my nails at all. Rather than becoming a creamy consistency after moistening the tip, the pencil merely flaked off leaving small chips of white. Water didn't soften the pencil at all. A total failure. I threw the pencils away. Don't waste your time or money.
