I'm new to using purple shampoo so don't have anything to compare this to, but for the price, I think it seems decent. I found it a little drying, but had expected that given the nature of it - I did find it texturised my hair during washing, so it gave the impression of being harsher in terms of hair fall, but I shed a lot and I'm sure I was probably just seeing more in the washing stage and then less when drying. These things tend to be less about cause and more about just affecting when you see more of what loss you'd get anyway. I'm actually brunette but with a lot of blonde highlights and I really liked the effect on the colour of those highlights, but did think my hair overall looked less glossy. Not bad though, I'll continue to use sparingly, not with every wash.
