To begin, I didn't mean to purchase this new version of ORA's pen, but I clicked on a bookmark I saved for the pen and it took me to this one. I ordered it very late at night and didn't realize till later that it was a different model. The pen itself is nicely designed - streamline yet looks sturdy. However, I tried this twice and will not be using again. I've had microneedling on my face before and it was nothing like what happened with this pen. This particular pen (don't know if I got a lemon or not) did not seem to seat the needle cartridge properly, evenly - felt like it was in there at an angle. The pen felt more like it was scraping my skin as opposed to micro-puncturing/needling it. The other reviewer described it as dragging and maybe that's what she meant too. I do know that it's not supposed to feel like that. I tried the extra cartridge it comes with to see if it was a faulty cartridge, but it was the same and It also rattled after a couple of minutes of use. Worst part is - I did not see the improvement and soft plumped skin I saw from previous micro-needling. Instead my skin became like sandpaper and felt really really dry and dehydrated for a week. This is the opposite of my past and expected result. I tried both a .03 setting and approx .045 setting and felt virtually no difference between the them. That's not right. Note: I also purchased a box of the extra needle cartridges by ORA, but they do not fit this pen. Double fail. I will have to return this order.
