To start, I should say that I've only used this a few times so I can't speak to its long-term effects concerning wrinkles and pore size. Moreover, I don't have many acne scars so I can't speak on its effect with those either. However, I can say that it is certainly effective in promoting cell turnover. Within seconds, as expected, you can see the skin become redder. After using this (I make sure to sanitize it before by dunking it in rubbing alcohol for a few minutes), I immediately apply a hydrating sheet mask for 20 minutes, then all of my hydrating serums and moisturizers (obviously skipping the retinol and any exfoliative products I have). I only use it once every 10-14 days and that is enough for me. The first time I used it my skin was quite dry and flaky in the days after, but since I have started using a sheet mask immediately after I haven't had that problem. My skin does appear tighter and "fresher." I have seen the before and after for people older than myself and it seems, when used long term in combination with retinol and vigilant SPF application, that this is the real deal. They say to get a new one every 3-4 months, but for the price that is an acceptable cost for me. I'm excited to incorporate this into my skincare regimen for years to come.
