The acids in these pads are powerful, will sting, burn and it will work with its ingredients... exfoliation that is. I don't know about how much it worked on my dark spots. I usually us retinal from another brand and wanted to try this because I love Arcona, but I would probably go with something else like a true retinal if I wanted aggressive results. If you love Arcona though and enjoy its ingredients, this is still a very good product.
