Do not let the name desert mist mislead you. I though this product would be a mist and the directions and description say do not apply directly to face. When I received the package it's actually a pump and the contents are a liquid. I feel that this allows better control on the overall application of the product. This smells great, goes on smooth and soaks into the skin. This has been helpful for my skin to keep hydrated. It will keep your skin fully hydrated all day layered under a moisturizer.
